BOSTON (CBS) – New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski underwent another surgery on his broken forearm last week, but is still expected to be ready for the team’s training camp.

According to ESPN, Gronkowski underwent surgery to address an infection in the same forearm he broke twice during the 2012 season. The infection was caught early enough though so the Pro Bowl tight end is not expected to miss any extended time.

This is the third surgery Gronkowski has undergone on his forearm since breaking it on an extra point late in New England’s Week 11 win over the Indianapolis Colts. He missed five games before returning for the Patriots’ regular season finale against the Dolphins, but re-broke the forearm during their playoff win over the Houston Texans.
